Tras la muerte de Jim Morrison los restantes miembros del grupo comenzaron a buscar las cintas que Morrison había grabado recitando su poesía. Tras encontrar este material se pusieron manos a la obra y las pusieron música. Nada más aparecer el disco, comienza a surgir la leyenda de la “no-muerte” del genial poeta del rock.
